The hurricane does overwhelming damage to homes, infrastructure and businesses, and in addition at least a dozen people die. As the residents prepare to evacuate, a few of the locals, including Bruce Cable, the local bookstore owner, decide to remain. The novel is based around a devastating hurricane, Leo, that hits the island of Camino. The book has some of the same characters as the first, being set also on Camino Island. I was not aware it was going to be a part of a series, so when this second book came out, I was keen to follow it up. I really enjoyed it and gave it a good review. I recently read the first in the series, Camino Island. This is the second book of the Camino Series by John Grisham.

But somehow Andreas, slow of speech and awkward in his movements, survives. The relative who gives him a home beats him so extensively, he’s left with a permanent link. It took me a while to find my niche, but I’ve settled comfortably into the mystery/suspense genre (with a just a dash of romance tossed in). Since then, I’ve been composing nonstop, and have dabbled in multiple genres over the years, writing everything from fantasy, westerns, and horror to inspirational fiction, romance, and sci-fi.
